You Need to Take a Look At This Awesome Pony Party Theme

Have a horse lover in your household? Then you need to give this party theme a consideration! We've got a full guide here on how to throw the best pony-themed party possible, so don't waste any time and get into it!

Pony Party Theme – The OK Corral:

If the party is outside, use bales of hay for decoration and extra seating. Make stirrups from construction paper and attach them to each chair. Cut out horse shoes and cowgirl hats from construction paper or poster board and hang them around the party room. Make a fence around the wall of the party room using rectangular pieces of cardboard as the planks. Make a mane decorating station. Set up a table with all sorts of ribbons, clips and other hair do-dads for the guests to decorate their manes with.

Pony Party Theme – I'm So Hungry I Could Eat a Horse!

Pile up thinly cut French fries and serve your guests piles of straw. Have each child eat an apple the way a pony would eat it- no hands! Serve cowgirl food. Chili, hot dogs, sloppy Joes, or grilled cheese. Serve horseshoe shaped cookies. Shape sugar cookie dough into horseshoe shapes and bake. Pre-made dough from the store makes this especially easy. Serve s'mores. You can buy them pre-made, or make them to order for your guests.

If you're having a summer party, having your guests make their own s'mores is a fantastic activity. Get some marshmallow sticks, or go old-fashioned and use sticks that you find around the yard. Of course, make sure whatever sticks you pick are not muddy and are free of bugs!

An autumn party can turn eating apples like a horse into a full activity. Grab a large bucket or even a trough and fill it with water. Throw in a bunch of apples. Then, have your guests take turns picking the apples out of the water! You can turn this into more of a challenge by making each guest do it blindfolded, or by giving them a short time limit. Whoever collects the most apples wins!

Having a barbecue is also a great way to serve food at a pony-themed party. Barbecue is strongly associated with Texas, which is a cowboy state. Fire up the grill and make your favorite barbecue recipes, along with some French fries or corn on the cob. Of course, always make sure to inquire about any food allergies or insensitivities before finalizing your menu.
