Recipe Substitutions

This Dutch Potato Stuffing recipe is pretty straightforward, but you can tweak it a little to change up the flavors and texture. You can leave out the onions and celery or add other vegetables such as carrots and even chopped cauliflower. You can also use margarine instead of butter. If you make your usual stuffing with other ingredients, you can also add them to this recipe.

How to Serve the Stuffing

There are many ways you can serve your Dutch Potato Stuffing. You can add it to a casserole dish before you bake it and then serve it in the same dish. You can also move it from a pan to a bowl and garnish it with green onions. If you want to serve it for the holidays, consider stuffing your turkey or chicken and serving with the meat when it’s cooked. This keeps the stuffing moist and adds more flavor to it. You can also place your stuffing in muffin tins and cook it in individual portions.
