Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
2/3 cup nonfat buttermilk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Butter-flavored vegetable cooking spray
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; stir well.
2. Combine buttermilk and oil; add milk mixture to dry ingredients. Stir with a fork just until dry ingredients are moistened.
3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 3 or 4 times. Roll dough into ½-inch thickness; cut into rounds with a 1 ½-inch biscuit cutter.
4. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet; lightly coat tops of biscuits with cooking spray. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes.
