Bananas Foster

Bananas Foster is a dessert invented by the chef of Brennan’s Restaurant in New Orleans.  It’s often created tableside with a show-stopping flambé.  In the 1950’s, New Orleans imported bananas from Central and South America.  Since the fruit was so plentiful in the area, Brennan’s Restaurant decided to promote it by creating a custom dessert, the now-famous Bananas Foster.  This dessert is now known and loved across the globe.

This Bananas Foster recipe gives you wonderful flavor with little effort.  For obvious safety reasons, you can still enjoy this dish without the flambé sideshow in your kitchen.  Save that for the professionals!
