Fondue Recipes

These are great fondue recipes for serving to family and friends. Fondue is the perfect appetizer that lets you enjoy your time with your guests instead of slaving away in the kitchen. Fondue is trendy, fun, and very versatile ... from cheesy to chocolate, there is a fondue recipe for any taste!

Easy Cheese Fondue

Ingredients

2 cups milk
6 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground dry mustard

Preparation

In a medium saucepan over low heat mix togetherthe Worcestershire sauce, milk,  garlic, dry mustard,  and flour. Heat until almost boiling. Slowly stir in the cheddar cheese. Continue heating until all the cheese has melted. Keep the cheese mixture warm and melted in a fondue pot.

 

Spicy Cheese Fondue

Ingredients

1 6 ounce package cream cheese
8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 1/2 cups sour cream
4 ounce can diced green chile peppers
1 cup cooked ham, diced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon melted butter 
1  loaf round bread


Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut a circle in the top of the bread, remove the top, then set aside. Hollow out the loaf, reserving removed bread for dipping.

In a medium bowl, mix the Cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream cheese,  green onions, ham,  green chile peppers, and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon mixture into the bread bowl, and replace the top. Wrap the bread loaf tightly in foil, and place on a baking sheet.

Bake until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 1 hour.

Cut reserved bread into small pieces. Toss with oil and melted butter, and place on the baking sheet. Toast in oven until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.

 

Easy Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients


12 ounce package semi-sweet chocolate
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons rum

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in fondue pot or saucepan over low heat. Dip bite-size pieces of banana, pineapple, strawberries, into chocolate. 

 

Easy S'mores Dessert Fondue

Ingredients

1 cup cream
1 cup marshmallow cream
8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped


Preparation

Slowly warm the cream in a medium saucepan over low heat. When hot, slowly stir in the chocolate pieces until melted. Stir in the marshmallow cream and heat through. Transfer the mixture to a warm fondue pot.

Serve with graham crackers and marshmallows for dipping.
