We’ve Found the Best Way to Use Cantaloupe in a Dessert

When you think of fruit desserts, ones that include cantaloupe aren't likely the first that come to mind. Cantaloupe is often used in fruit salads, but rarely does it enjoy a spot on an ingredients list for a dessert. We hope to change people's minds when it comes to using this fruit for a sweet treat.

That's why we've created this simple recipe. It's a great way to try something new and unique, without having to make something complicated. You'll only need three ingredients for this recipe. Find some fresh cantaloupe (or grow your own!), grab some sugar and lemon juice, and get started.

This fruit ice recipe will turn into a slushie-like consistency when served. It's a refreshing way to cool off on a particularly warm day. It's also a better alternative to popsicles; many brands contain additives that many parents aren't a fan of. Kids will enjoy this fruit ice, even if they usually don't like cantaloupe, because it's sweet.

So, what are you waiting for? Get the ingredients together, grab your blender, and enjoy this delicious fruit ice. Once you're finished with it, you'll be looking for more creative ways to use cantaloupe! What other under-used fruits can you think of to use in a dessert?
