You Need to Try This Fantastic Pepper Steak with Potatoes Recipe

Sometimes, you just want a classic steak and potatoes dinner. There's a good reason this combination has been popular for decades. The hearty, rich taste of a good cut of steak blends wonderfully with the smooth, creamy taste of potatoes.

This recipe includes a way to make your own sauce for the dish, meaning you won't have to rely on low-quality mix gravy. The sauce isn't difficult or time-consuming to make, so you don't have to worry about it adding a lot of time on to this recipe. We highly encourage you to make it!

You can substitute mashed potatoes for the red potatoes if you want. Don't throw the mashed potatoes in with the beef and pepper. Simply throw the pepper in with the beef, and follow the recipe's instructions from there. Make the mashed potatoes separately.

2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 medium green pepper, thinly sliced
1 small onion, chopped
pepper to taste

6. In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and broth until smooth. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
