Apple-Pork Chops Recipe

To make this recipe, take four butterflied pork chops and place them in a non-stick, shallow baking pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Take two apples, peeled, cored, and cut in half and place each half on the top of a pork chops. Add butter and brown sugar to each of the apples. Bake for another 15 minutes and serve with your choice of side.

Add 1 tbsp olive oil to a skillet and heat over medium to high heat. Add pork chops and sear 3 to 5 minutes a side. Remove from heat.

In small mixing bowl, mix ¾ cup chicken stock with 1 tsp Dijon mustard and whisk together. Add remaining tbsp. oil to the pan then add apples and onions. Cook 4 minutes stirring occasionally. Season with salt, pepper, rosemary, sage and thyme. Pour in stock mixture and scrape bottom of the pan to release brown bits. This will add flavor.

Put pork chops back in pan nestling them between the apples. Cook 2 to 3 minutes until pork chops are finished cooking and liquid is reduced by half.
