Beef Stroganoff Crock Pot Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds top round steak, sliced thin across the grain
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 3/4 cup dry sherry
  • 1-1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cake flour

Directions:

1. Start by combining the dry mustard, thyme, garlic salt, beef broth, and dry sherry in a bowl. Mix well and pour into the crock pot.

2. Then add in the top round steak, and place the sliced onions and fresh mushrooms evenly around it.

3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. The slow-cooking process will allow all the flavors to meld together and ensures the beef becomes incredibly tender.

4. Once the cooking time is complete, change the setting on the crock pot to high.

5. While that is finishing up, combine the sour cream and cake flour until smooth. Pour this mixture into the crock pot and stir until well combined.

6. Cook on high for an additional 40 minutes to allow the sour cream and flour mixture to cook through and thicken the sauce.

7. Serve immediately over noodles or rice. And for a heartier meal, pair it with crusty bread and a side salad.

This easy-to-follow crock pot recipe will surely become a family favorite. The slow cooking process tenderizes the beef while allowing the flavors to meld together, resulting in a dish that is rich, comforting, and incredibly flavorful. So, prepare your crock pot, gather your ingredients, and embark on a culinary adventure that will leave you craving for more. Happy cooking!
