Sides to Serve with Ribs

There are so many different sides that you can serve with your crock pot ribs. Let's take a look at a few of them right now:

  • Cornbread. Cornbread is often served with ribs, since the flavors of both items blend together so well. Cornbread is very easy to make, and is such a great choice for your rib dinner!
  • Roasted vegetables. Throw some vegetables into your oven with some seasonings, and you'll have a great side dish ready to have with your ribs! Plus, roasted vegetables are highly nutritious. You'll be giving your family a very balanced dinner.
  • Cottage cheese. If you're looking to add more protein to your dinner, then cottage cheese is a great option. There are lots of toppings you can put on your cottage cheese, like black pepper or ketchup. Go for the low-fat variety to keep it healthy.
  • Coleslaw. Coleslaw is a tangy side that will partner well with the savoriness of the ribs. You can easily find coleslaw at the grocery store, or you can try your hand at making it yourself. Either way, coleslaw is a great option for this recipe!
  • Macaroni and cheese. Mac and cheese is a true favorite among so many, kids and adults alike. To make a truly special mac and cheese, bake it in the oven with breadcrumbs on top. If you want to keep it simple, just buy the boxed variety. There's no shame in that!
  • Fried green tomatoes. This side is a Southern classic. If you live in the southern United States, chances are you've had this before. If not, then why not give it a try? Fried green tomatoes are popular for a reason; maybe it's time you find out why!
