You Need to Try This Honeyed Cranberry Autumn Pork Roast Recipe

When autumn arrives, so do many other things. Apple desserts, pumpkin decorations, and preparation for the holidays are just a few of those things. Many families bring the crock pot out at this time. The weather is getting colder, which means the grill is retired for the season in favor of indoor cooking.

This pork roast recipe brilliantly captures the flavors of fall. With ingredients like cranberries, grated orange peel, and ground nutmeg, it's no surprise why this dish screams “fall!”. Like many other crock pot recipes, this pork roast can be easily prepared.

You'll need to cook the roast on low for eight to ten hours. This may seem like a long time for those unfamiliar with crock pot recipes, but it's important. Cooking the meat too quickly will cause it to become tough, and possibly unevenly cooked. By taking our time to cook it, the roast will come out tender and evenly-cooked.

We recommend serving this recipe with some mashed sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are one of the few healthy foods that kids actually enjoy. They also fit in with the autumn theme of the main dish very well. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top, and your meal is complete!
