Everyone Will Love This Patriotic Fruit Pizza Recipe

This easy, delicious dessert has a sugar cookie crust as a base (chocolate chip works well too). It's then covered with a whipped topping that cradles the fresh, sweet fruit toppings in the colors of the flag. Summer strawberries and plump, juicy blueberries get a slightly sinful glaze mixed in for absolute perfection.

Having a good dessert for a 4th of July picnic is key. Everyone wants to wrap up their dinner in the best way possible, before starting the campfire or shooting off fireworks. This fruit pizza will appeal to people of all ages, whether they could go without dessert or find it necessary for the proper enjoyment of a meal.

Some patriotic recipes use food coloring to achieve the desired affect, but to go with a bit of a healthier option we decided to use fruit. “Healthy” is certainly not synonymous with dessert, but some parents may find fruit preferable to food dye. Strawberries and blueberries bring such brilliant color to this dessert.

This recipe is also very easy to make, which means it can be prepared whenever you want. As long as you have sufficient time, you can even make this day-of. Just make sure you aren't rushing through the process, as you'll want to be sure this turns out right!
