Pigs in a Blanket

This is an Amazing Pigs In A Blanket Recipe

Another spin on hot dogs, this pigs in a blanket recipe is a different way of serving the American classic.

These are great when watching the game, for kids’ birthday parties, lunch, or just for a snack.  The cheese filled crescent rolls wrapped around the hot dog make it easier to handle than the traditional dog and bun. You can even cut everything smaller for a quick pop-in-the-mouth appetizer.

What to Serve With Pigs in a Blanket

If you aren't using this recipe as an appetizer, you might be wondering what you can serve alongside it. We've got some great suggestions here for you to make alongside this great recipe.

French fries or onion rings are great choices. Both of these sides are often served with hot dogs, so it makes sense to serve them with pigs in a blanket! Choose French fries if you want something with a subtler flavor, and onion rings if you want a nice crunch with a strong flavor.

If you choose to cut the pigs in a blanket down to smaller sizes, consider serving them with similarly-sized sides. Chicken wings are a great choice. Make a sauce of your choice to serve on the wings, or offer your family or guests a variety of sauces to choose from. Boneless wings are another option if you don't want to deal with all the waste that regular chicken wings produce.

A healthy side to serve with these pigs in a blanket is celery and ranch. Celery has a host of nutrients on offer. Choose a low calorie version of ranch dressing if you want to keep the side totally healthy. You can also use bleu cheese if that's your preference. Celery is rather plain on its own, but when dipped in a delicious dressing it makes for a fantastic side.
