Chocolate Butterscotch Pie Recipe

Kids Will Love This Chocolate Butterscotch Pie Recipe

This is an awesome pie recipe that everyone will love, especially kids! It's rare to find a kid that doesn't love chocolate. Some may even say that this pie reminds them of candy! Butterscotch is sometimes overlooked as a dessert flavor in favor of more popular options, like peanut butter. But it certainly deserves some time in the spotlight! If you've never tried any sort of butterscotch dessert before, this is a great place to start.

Since this pie is served cold, it's a great option for any time of the year. Many people don't want to have a warm dessert in the middle of summer, so you can offer them this instead. Plus, you'll enjoy not having to take the extra step of warming the pie before serving!

What to Do With Leftover Pie

When storing this pie, make sure to store it in an airtight, sealed container to keep it as fresh as possible for as long as possible. For optimal taste and freshness, we recommend consuming this pie within a few days. Always check your pie for any signs of spoilage once it has passed a few days in age.

Generally, there are going to be several signs you can look out for to determine if your pie has gone bad or not. One of the most obvious signs of spoilage is an abnormal appearance. This can mean the presence of mold, a strange color, or an odd texture.

A bad odor will often accompany spoiled pie. You'll notice it as soon as you open the container- it may even be overpowering! Usually, by the time a pie reaches this stage, it's very spoiled and definitely should not be consumed. This is especially true if the bad smell comes with mold or another, similar issue.

As long as you pay attention, you can easily and safely store whatever chocolate butterscotch pie you have left. Having leftovers for dessert is a simple way to keep everyone at your table happy! You might even find that this pie tastes better on the second day.
