Money money money! A key skill that we all need to learn is identifying coins and making change, which is exactly what we encompass in our “making change board. This set is great to help learn coins and their values, coming to conclusions of diffefent ways of making the same amount, as well as adding change, and subtracting change. In addition it offers a which is more option.

The board has 4 main components.
1. It has 4 piggy banks with values engraved into them. This can be used to sort change as well as hold change to use in the “making change” section

2. Coin holders are placed below the piggy banks in the size needed for each value. There are 2 coin slots so that you can place 1 heads, and one tails, which gives a visual reference to the coin value for the piggy bank above it.

3. A making change section is at the bottom of the boards, with 3 areas to make change in diffefent ways, or making math problems for real life purchasing scenarios. This section has recessed slots to put the included wooden tokens (plus, minus, 2 greater/less than, and 2 equals tokens) this will allow the board to be used for a long time as you can make it as simple or as complicated as you like.

4. The slot at the top allows to display problems to solve, change to make, or anything you cam imagine.

We use Poplar hardwood for all of our rainbows, which can contain naturally occurring streaks of blue purple black and brown, which comes as the tree draws minerals out of the ground. We also use stain instead of many that use paint so that the natural beauty of the wood can show through. This is intentional and can vary from rainbow to rainbow. If you have a request to have a piece with more or less natural coloration (we cannot guarantee none), please do so at the time of ordering as any exchange will require additional shipping charges if natural coloration is the reason for request.

I purchased the money board and we are very pleased with it. My daughter loves to use it to practice making change. I like that it helps her visualize in a very organized way coins and their value. We use it often. My board arrived with a small defect where the symbols did not fit in the slot where they go, so I contacted the seller and she very speedily replaced the item. I appreciate her prompt response and willingness to make it right. I will purchase from them again.
