Bacon-Wrapped Sirloin With Cowboy Butter

A wrapped piece of steak drenched in butter what could be better than that? To exult this mouthwatering dish, it is important to pair it with the best sides to compliment all of the flavors. Loaded potatoes topped with cream cheese and chives are a perfect choice along with a light vinegarette green salad you have created a perfect culinary dish. 


  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 5 tbsp. salted butter, softened
  • 2 slices bacon
  • Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 (8-10 ounce) sirloin fillet steaks of your choice approximately 2 inches thick
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. grated lemon zest and 1 tsp. of lemon dress


  1. First, in a bowl mix the parsley, 4 tablespoons of butter, lemon juice, chives, lemon zest, and mustard in a small bowl. Next, wrap it in plastic wrap and roll it into a 3-inch log. Put it in the fridge until firm for about 30 minutes.
  2. Then preheat the oven to 450 °F. Season the steaks on both sides with salt and pepper and a slice of bacon around the edge of each steak and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Next, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Then add the steaks and sear each side until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  4. Finally, put the skillet into the oven for 7-10 minutes to great a delightful juicy medium rare bacon-wrapped sirloin. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before serving then top with a slice of cowboy butter.
