Ingredients

  • 2 cups of chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 and 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 8 oz packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup crushed peppermint candy

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine chocolate cookie crumbs, sugar, and butter. Then, press into a 9-inch spring form pan.
  3. Blend sour cream, sugar, eggs, flour, and extracts until smooth.
  4. Add softened cream cheese and 2 tablespoons of butter. Slowly stir in crushed peppermint candy.
  5. Pour over the crust and bake on the lowest rack of your oven for 50-60 minutes or until firm.
  6. Allow to cool and refrigerate overnight. Remove from pan and serve.
  7. Top with whipped cream and garnish with a candy cane for a decorative and delicious pop, if desired.
