Early Signs of Pregnancy to Look Out For: Frequent Urination

When you're trying to conceive, it can sometimes be difficult to determine if a known sign of pregnancy is actually just that or a one-off occurrence. One early symptom of pregnancy that might not be so common is frequent urination. If you are noticing that you frequently have to run to the bathroom, and you haven't increased your hydration, this may be a sign of early pregnancy. Read on to learn more.

What to Know About Frequent Urination in Early Pregnancy

Frequent urination is not one of the most noticeable symptoms of pregnancy early on. Almost from the beginning of pregnancy, you may discover that you're making quite a few additional trips to the bathroom. However, you may not make the connection immediately.

The expanding uterus causes much more frequent urination during pregnancy because it puts pressure on your bladder. Your body is also producing extra fluids which are being processed and eliminated.

The first trimester and the third trimester of pregnancy are usually when the most frequent urination occurs. Like all symptoms of pregnancy, it will disappear after delivery.
