New and different can be exciting and wonderful, but sometimes, we all need the food we grew up with, just for the fond memories it evokes, and the comfrot it brings. The next time you're going to make macaroni salad, try our healthy recipe.
It's simple and delicious, and it will remind you of the long lazy days of summer when you were a child. When your biggest concern was how many lighting bugs you caught, or what color popsicle to have at the neighbor's pool party (we prefer red).
12 ounces elbow macaroni, uncooked
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup salad dressing, mayonnaise-type
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and cool.
2. Combine green pepper, salad dressing, and spices.
3. Add macaroni and toss lightly. Chill.
