EASIEST CROCK POT CHILI
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
1-2 Tablespoons chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Brown beef with onion and garlic in skillet, drain.
2. Mix with remaining ingredients in crock pot on low for 6 hours
CROCK POT BEST CHILI
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
2 Tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon red pepper, crushed
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (20 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1 large bay leaf
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in skillet for 10 minutes, drain.
2. Add onions, green pepper, chili powder, salt, paprika and red pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Add tomatoes, beans and bay leaf.
4. Pour into crock pot and cook on medium for 6 to 8 hours. Add a small amount of water if necessary.
5. Remove bay leaf before serving.
CROCK POT BLACK BEAN CHILI
Ingredients:
3/4 cup cooked black beans
1 lb. stew beef, cubed
3 Tablespoons oil
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green peppers
1/2 cup diced green chilies
3 Tablespoons tomato paste
3 to 4 beef bouillon cubes, or beef base
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Brown stew beef in oil with onion and green pepper.
2. Combine all ingredients except cheese and cook 6 to 8 hours on low.
3. Sprinkle cheese over individual servings.
CROCK POT POTATO CHILI
Ingredients:
1 lb. hamburger
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons salt
3 cloves garlic
5 small to medium potatoes
beef bouillon
14.5oz can tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 Tablespoon paprika
1 Tablespoon chili powder
Worcestershire sauce
pepper to taste
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Brown 1 lb. hamburger , salt, chopped onion and cloves of garlic in a frying pan; drain oil.
2. Cut up potatoes in 1/4" slices. Put potatoes in crock pot, add hamburger.
3. Mix beef bouillon with a little hot water to dissolve, add to crock pot.
4. Blend tomatoes in blender (the kind w/added seasonings is fine), add to crock pot.
5. Add the 1/2 teaspoon each onion, garlic salt, cumin, paprika , chili powder, a couple of shakes of Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and 1/2 c water.
6. Cook on high 3 to 4 hours, or low 6 or 7 hours.
CROCK POT WHITE CHILI #1
Ingredients:
3 15-oz cans great northern, pinto, or cannellini beans, drained
2 1/2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
1 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 cup chopped red, green, and/or yellow pepper
2 jalapeno chili peppers, stemmed and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
3 1/2 cups chicken broth
Shredded Monterey Jack cheese (optional)
Broken tortilla chips (optional)
Directions:
1. In a Crock Pot combine the drained beans, chicken, onion, sweet pepper, jalapeno peppers, garlic, cumin, salt, and oregano.
2. Stir in chicken broth.
3. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours.
4. Ladle soup into bowls. Top each serving with some cheese and tortilla chips, if desired.
CROCK POT WHITE CHILI
Ingredients:
1 1/4 lb. ground turkey
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup diced green pepper
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon Oregano
2 teaspoons Cumin
3 cans (15 oz or so) Cannelloni Beans (or any white bean)
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. Brown the ground turkey with onion, green pepper, garlic, and oregano and put it in the crockpot.
2. Add 2 cans beans along with broth, cumin, chili powder, salt andpepper. Let it cook a bit on low.
3. In the blender, blend the remaining can of beans and add it to the chili.
4. Cook on low until done.
