Check Out This Grilled Potatoes and Onions Recipe

When many people think of the grill, they immediately think of meat. While meat is certainly a common food placed on the grill, it isn't the only thing a grill is useful for. In recent years, numerous recipes have cropped up for grilled vegetables. This grilled potatoes and onions recipe is just one of many, but it's a good one!

Easy recipes are always a blessing. While difficult and time-consuming recipes certainly have their time and place, they aren't always a possibility. During the week, you'll often find yourself too busy to put much effort into dinner. That's why recipes like these are great to have.

These potatoes and onions take about 30 minutes to grill. While that's longer than a lot of grilled recipes out there, the recipe is very simple to prep. With a lot of grilled meat recipes, you'll need to prepare a marinade and let the meat sit in that marinade for a long period of time. Here, there's none of that! Simply slice up the vegetables, wrap them up, and get grilling!

Grilled Potatoes and Onions

Ingredients:

8 potatoes, quartered and sliced 1/4 inch thick
2 red onion, sliced or sweet onions, sliced
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup butter

Directions:

Preheat grill for indirect heat.

Measure out 2 or 3 sheets of aluminum foil large enough to easily wrap the vegetables, and layer one on top of the other.

Place potatoes and onion in the center, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and add butter. Wrap into a flattened square, and seal the edges.

Place aluminum wrapped package over medium heat, and cover. Cook for approximately 30 minutes, turning once.
