You Need to Try All of These Ribs and Chicken Recipes

Chicken and ribs on the grill bring out the best in barbecue. Done just right, the meat falls off the bone while the tangy sauce clings to each bite. It's no wonder the barbecue competitions feature the best ribs, chicken, and sauces!

Ribs and Chicken

You can use bottled sauce, homemade sauce, or a mixture of both by adding your favorite spices to prepared barbecue sauce. Summer is the time for messy eating outdoors, so don't skimp on the barbecue sauce. Take your time brushing it on, turning often, to avoid the burnt clumps of sauce that happen because of a flare-up.

Chicken legs feed a crowd cheaply, while baby back ribs are great for smaller gatherings. Both are wonderful summer meals we wait all winter for. We hope you enjoy our favorite summer grill recipes as much as we do!

Tips For Barbecuing

Everyone wants their barbecue to turn out just right, even if they're only making it for just their immediate family. A bad barbecue is about as disappointing as it can get! Here are some tips to make sure your barbecue turns out just right.

First, make sure you preheat your grill. Preheating your grill will make sure the entire surface is ready when the meat goes on. Otherwise, your meat may fall victim to uneven heating. Give your grill 10-15 minutes to preheat before cooking.

Second, make sure your grilling temperature stays consistent throughout the entire process. You don't want any sudden or prolonged changes in temperature hitting your barbecue. Just like failing to preheat your grill can cause problems throughout the whole cut of meat, so can being unable to maintain a proper temperature throughout.

Third, don't raise the lid on your grill until you need to. The lid is on your grill for a reason. It helps keep heat on the meat, ensuring it cooks properly. If you're constantly opening the lid to check on what you're cooking, you'll prolong the cooking time and your barbecue may not cook properly. In addition to that, don't move the meat around your grill. Leave it where you put it so that it can cook properly.
