Perimenopause Symptoms - Z
Perimenopause symptoms that begin with Z:
Zonal changes in odor: body odor, breath odor; bad taste in mouth
A less reported symptom of perimenopause is burning mouth syndrome. You may notice a burning tongue, burning roof of mouth, a bad taste in your mouth, and a change in breath odor. The burning sensation occurs on your tongue or lips, or over widespread areas involving your whole mouth without visible signs of irritation.
Hormone changes in perimenopause can affect your body odor. You may notice a much stronger odor than normal, and it may increase during hot flashes or night sweats.
