Try This Amazing Creamed Cucumbers Recipe

Cucumbers are a healthy option for anyone. Made of primarily water, they're very low in calories and fat. Whether you're dieting or simply looking to eat healthier, adding more cucumbers to your diet is never a bad idea. Many people choose to eat cucumbers on their own with a little salt and pepper, or in a salad.

This is a different way to eat this nutritious vegetable. Creamed cucumbers is a simple recipe, requiring a set of basic ingredients. There are only three steps to make this dish, meaning that you'll be able to make it quickly and easily. The one thing you need to keep in mind with this recipe is that it needs to chill for a minimum of four hours before serving.

Chilling your creamed cucumbers for at least four hours will help the flavor set in appropriately. If you can manage to chill them overnight, even better. If you're planning on bringing this dish to an event, it's a great idea to make it the night before. You'll wow everyone with how much flavor is in such a simple dish!

If you want to make this recipe even healthier, use light mayo and low-fat sour cream. Using these two ingredients instead of regular mayo and sour cream will reduce the overall calorie and fat content of the final dish. If you're eating cucumbers to take advantage of their health benefits, it makes sense to tailor a recipe to fit that goal!
