Other Desserts to Make at Home

After trying this delicious Rocky Road fudge, try making these other incredible desserts:

  • Flourless chocolate cake. Popular for its lack of gluten, this cake is easy to make and delicious. Having an allergy to gluten doesn't mean you can't indulge in chocolate cake.
  • Red velvet fudge. This is an uncommon fudge flavor, but it deserves attention. Red velvet fudge, like its cake counterpart, is chocolatey and sweet.
  • Ice cream cake. You've probably had a store bought ice cream cake or two before, but have you ever tried making your own? It takes time and patience, but the end result is totally worth it. Just remember to defrost the cake far enough ahead of time!
  • Blondies. Blondies are a vanilla version of brownies. They tend to be popular with people who feel that brownies are too sweet, or who don't love chocolate.
  • Cake pops. Do you have leftover cake or a box of cake mix sitting unused? Why not turn it into cake pops? These treats are especially popular with kids. Their small hands can handle them easily, and they're portable enough to fit into school lunches.
  • Cupcones. Have you ever made cupcakes inside of ice cream cones before? If not, you really need to try it. The crunch of a good ice cream cone will contrast the softness of a good cake in a way that's extremely satisfying. You'll want more as soon as you finish them!
  • Chocolate lava cake. You may have had one of these at Applebee's or Domino's. You can make your own at home! A chocolate lava cake is a small chocolate cake with a fudgy center. The cake is served warm, so that when it's cut the fudge flows out like lava. Typically, this cake is dusted with powdered sugar.
  • Caramel candies. Try making your own caramel at home! Not only can your homemade caramel be made into candies, but into a caramel topping for other desserts as well. It isn't hard to make your own caramel. Once you try homemade caramel, you won't go back!
