You Need to Try This Sweet and Saucy Chicken Recipe

Chicken is such a versatile meat. You can do almost anything with it. You can fry it, grill it, roast it, or add sauce and seasonings to completely change up the flavorings.

The recipe we have here is for a sweet and saucy chicken. The sauce we use gives it a sweet taste that is that also has a bit of a kick. Read on to find out more about this meal and other ways you can prepare your chicken to make it just as tasty.

Saucy Chicken Recipes

Our sweet and saucy chicken recipe is pretty simple. The sauce consists of brown sugar, which gives it a sweet taste, and two cups of salsa, which give it a flavorful kick. The mustard works perfectly to blend both tastes and give it a terrific texture.

There are plenty of ways to “sauce up” a good chicken dish. Really, the sky is the limit here. You have the ability to incorporate whatever sauce you like into a chicken recipe, provided you account for the flavors it adds. The key is to create a balanced dish that isn't leaning too far in one direction.

Many chicken recipes call for some kind of dressing to be used. The idea of using dressing in a recipe is an old one, featured in recipes that have been in families for decades. We've all likely heard of ranch chicken before! Italian dressing is also frequently used in chicken dishes.

Many Chinese-American chicken dishes use sauce, similar to the recipe we have down below. Honey chicken is an excellent example. This sweet and savory dish is best accompanied by rice. If you have the time, make some fried rice to pull the whole meal together into something truly special.

Salsa Chicken Recipes

If you just can’t have your chicken without some kick, there are plenty of salsa chicken recipes out there as well. Here are a few we recommend.

Salsa Chicken: For this recipe, you must bake the chicken with taco seasoning and salsa added. The meat will pick up the spicy flavoring as it cooks.

Once it is baked, take it out of the oven and sprinkle it with cheddar cheese. Add sour cream if desired and get ready to serve a dish that is both exotic and delicious.

Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken: A slow cooker is a great way to make salsa chicken, as it allows the chicken to slowly absorb the flavorings of the salsa. It is also a convenient way of cooking, as it only requires that you throw ingredients into a slow cooker and then you can come home to a great tasting meal.

This dish is especially simple, since all it requires is chicken and salsa. Just throw the salsa in the cooker along with the shredded chicken. The shredded chicken can then be added to casseroles, sandwiches, tacos, or served on its own.

Dump and Bake Salsa Chicken: You can tell a busy mom came up with this one!

You start by stirring together frozen corn, black beans, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, cumin, and salsa. The chicken breasts go on top and are seasoned with salt and pepper. Pour more salsa on top of your chicken and bake.
