You Need to Try This Italian Chicken with Pasta Recipe

Sometimes, we all need simple recipes. Whether we're tired, busy, or just can't be bothered to cook something elaborate, having an easy recipe on hand can be a true lifesaver. This Italian chicken recipe is delightfully easy, making it perfect for a weeknight meal.

You can even have your kids give you a hand with this recipe, provided they're old enough to properly handle themselves around hot surfaces. Any opportunity to teach your kids useful life skills, like cooking, is great. Since this recipe is so easy to make, you don't have to stress about making sure every last detail is right. Most families will already have Italian seasoning and garlic powder on hand, so all that's left to buy is the chicken, parmesan cheese, angel hair pasta, and spaghetti sauce. Easy!

Italian Chicken with Pasta

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
3 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
6 ounces angel hair pasta, cooked
26 ounce jar spaghetti sauce, heated

 

Directions:

1.  In a broiler pan, place chicken breasts and sprinkle with half of the cheese, Italian seasoning and garlic powder.

2.  Broil for 5 to 10 minutes; turn chicken breasts and spread with remaining cheese, Italian seasoning and garlic powder.

3.  Broil for an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until done.

4.  Serve chicken over top of pasta and pour sauce over everything.  Makes 4 servings.
