You can leave it in the dish you baked it in, making it easy to transport, and it contains ingredients that are well-liked by many people. It is also ideal for serving to your family.

Read on to find out more about how you can make this dish for various occasions.

Ground Beef Pasta Casserole

This casserole is a bit like a lasagna. The ingredients it requires include ground beef, spaghetti sauce, egg noodles, cream cheese, sour cream, and mozzarella cheese.

You start by browning the beef and adding spaghetti sauce. Next, cook the noodles and add the sour cream to them. The noodles will make the base of your dish. Layer with the cream cheese and then meat sauce.

Continue layering ingredients, and then put it in the oven to bake. You will have a great dish to serve hungry workers, family, and guests. Casseroles are great dishes to make because you can add any ingredient you would like to make a meal that suits the taste buds of even your pickiest eaters.

Variations of This Dish

If you are using ground beef and pasta as your main ingredients, here are some terrific variations you can make.

Chili Mac Casserole: Kind of like beef and mac and cheese with a kick, this dish includes delicious ingredients like kidney beans, chiles, tomatoes, macaroni, and cheese. Skip the canned chili mac and make this casserole instead. Your family will definitely enjoy it more!

Easy Ziti Bake: Baked ziti with meat… need we say more? This Italian dish requires the addition of mushrooms and canned tomatoes, which are sure to make it a crowd-pleaser. There are so many ziti recipes out there, but this one is a real winner.

Baked Beef Casserole

Even though the beef we have featured in our recipe was browned before it was baked in the casserole, some put beef in raw and count on the oven to heat it and cook it through. In fact, many people make meatballs, burgers, and meatloaf this way. Whether you choose to brown beef in advance or put it directly in a casserole, baked beef always makes a great staple that works well in any casserole dish. Here are a few we recommend.

Beef Noodle Casserole: Another simple casserole dish, this one takes egg noodles and ground beef that has been browned with onion and garlic to taste. Tomato sauce and egg noodles are added, and the entire dish is topped with cheese and parsley.

Homestyle Ground Beef Casserole: This variation also features ground beef and egg noodles as the main ingredients. However, here the noodles are combined with sour cream, cream cheese, and green onions to give the dish a rich base. Top with beef and sprinkle with cheese for a meal your family and friends are sure to love.

Macaroni Beef Casserole: This recipe gives the baked beef casserole a spicy twist. That’s because the beef is cooked in a mixture that consists of garlic, thyme, jalapeno pepper, smoked paprika, and onion. Tomatoes and pasta are added, and flour and cheese are sprinkled over the top for a binding effect that brings the dish together perfectly.

Make This Recipe With Your Kids

What better way to make a family dinner than to include the entire family? This recipe is perfect for cooking with kids. The idea may seem intimidating, but we promise it doesn't have to be. It's actually important to cook with your kids as they get older.

Of course, making memories together while cooking is great. But, more importantly, cooking with your kids is a great way to teach them how to cook for themselves. Eventually, they will grow up and move out- as much as that idea may make you feel sad! When they do, they need to be able to cook meals for themselves.

Give your kids simple tasks to start. Perhaps you have them mix ingredients, set timers, or check on the casserole to see how it's coming along. Even simple tasks like these are great teaching moments. Explain to your kids why each step in this recipe is important.

Make sure they know safety rules, as well. Don't let them handle any hot or sharp surfaces without knowing about how dangerous they are. It can be hard for kids to understand why something isn't safe, so explaining it to them is always necessary even if you think the danger is obvious. Always supervise your children while cooking is taking place.

Beef and pasta make the ideal basic ingredients for a casserole that is easy to transport and serve at any event. Who will you be making your recipe for?
