Craft Supplies to Have on Hand for Your Kids

Keeping kids occupied on a rainy or snowy day can be a challenge. You may not have the ability to do something with them. They might be bored with their toys, and lacking in programs to watch on T.V. There are a number of craft supplies you can keep on hand for these types of days.

Having Play-doh or a similar type of clay on hand is a great idea. There are so many different types of crafts your children can make out of just clay. They can add their own artistic flair to existing objects, like cups and paper plates, or they can make something entirely original!

Sponge painting supplies are also great to have on hand. Sponge painting is easy for kids of all ages to do. Have paintbrushes and watercolors on hand for older children. Yarn, pipe cleaners, construction paper, scissors, colored pencils, crayons, markers, felt, glue, and googly eyes are all other craft supplies you should keep on hand.

Keep these supplies in a place that's easy for your children to access. Make sure you supervise your children whenever they use scissors, and teach them to never put craft supplies in their mouths or eat them. As long as your kids know how to use craft supplies properly, they'll have access to dozens of things to do on an otherwise boring day.
