How to Make This Recipe Healthier

Many Americans are highly conscious about their health these days. Whether you want to lose weight, live a healthier lifestyle, or have some other reason for wanting to eat healthy, we've got a tip here to help make this delicious recipe healthier.

Instead of using Italian sausage, try using turkey sausage instead. It's important to note that turkey sausage will have a fairly different flavor profile compared to Italian sausage, so season this recipe accordingly. You can choose to add the spices that would normally be used in Italian sausage, or you can go for a different combination that you prefer.

Turkey sausage is high in protein, but lacks the high fat content of something like Italian sausage. The lower fat content in turkey sausage makes it a better choice for those trying to lose weight or maintain their current weight.

With the right seasoning combination, your family may not even notice the difference! By using turkey sausage instead of Italian sausage, you'll be providing your family with a meal that's healthier for them and still delicious.
