Garlic Lime Shrimp and Pasta
This is one of those rare dishes that has everything going for it. It’s tangy, garlicky, and has a kick so it’s basically a flavor buffet in your mouth (and it has shrimp!). It’s also super easy to make with every ingredient easily found in any supermarket AND takes less than 30 minutes to put the entire meal on the table.
Ingredients:
1 pound uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
5 garlic cloves, minced
½ teaspoon salt
¼ to ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ cup butter
3 Tablespoons lime juice
1 Tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1 pound hot cooked pasta
Directions:
1. Put water on to boil and begin to prepare your pasta. As the pasta cooks, go on to the next step.
2. In a large skillet, sauté the shrimp, garlic, salt and cayenne pepper in butter until the shrimp turns pink (about 5 minutes).
3. Stir in lime juice and parsley. Keep warm until the pasta is finished cooking. Drain the pasta.
5. Serve the shrimp mixture with pasta and warm buttered Italian bread. Makes 4 servings.
