Easy Country Bean Casserole Recipe

If you've never had bean casserole before, you absolutely need to try it. This delicious recipe can serve as an excellent introduction to the world of bean casseroles, or as a fresh take on the dish for those who have tried it before. Either way, you're sure to love it!

The taste of this bean casserole is somewhat reminiscent of baked beans. That means that pretty much everyone, kids included, should enjoy this recipe's taste. We use lots of different kinds of beans in this recipe, so you'll be getting a lot of nutrients in every serving.

This bean casserole can be served on its own, or with a side. It is filling enough to be a meal all on its own, but we understand that many parents want a side to complete a meal. Country Bean Casserole

Ingredients:

½ pound ground beef
½ pound bacon, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
16 ounce can pork and beans
15½ ounce can lima beans, drained
16 ounce can kidney beans, drained
½ cup ketchup
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon mustard
2 teaspoons vinegar

Directions:

1. Brown ground beef, bacon, and onion in a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat.

2. Add remaining ingredients, stir well, then pour into an ungreased 2½ quart baking dish.

3. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly. Makes 8 servings.
