Family Fave Taco Salad Recipe
1½ pounds lean ground turkey
1 can (14½ ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
½ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon pepper
6 cups shredded lettuce
½ cup shredded reduced-fat Mexican cheese blend
6 Tablespoons fat-free sour cream or plain Greek yogurt, optional
1. In a large nonstick skillet, cook turkey over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
2. Stir in tomatoes and seasonings; heat through.
3. Divide lettuce among six plates; top each with ⅔ cup turkey mixture, 4 teaspoons cheese, and 1 tablespoon sour cream if desired.
