If there are two ingredients everyone loves its chicken and cheese.

Chicken is a healthy, lean protein that goes with just about anything. And cheese…well, who can resist the ooey-gooey goodness?!! Not to mention, it’s a great source of dairy.

There are many ways you can enjoy a cheese and chicken combination, but we feel this recipe is one most people will find especially delicious.

Cheesy Chicken

Before getting to our chicken recipe, let’s look at a few other ways you can enjoy the chicken and cheese combination. Here are a few recipes that will help inspire you.

Chicken Parmesan: This may be the first recipe that comes to mind when you think of chicken and cheese combinations. Chicken with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and your assortment of Italian seasonings served over a bed of spaghetti….mmm, my mouth is watering already.

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Perfection: And when we say perfection, we mean a combination of feta, spinach, mushrooms, and garlic. That’s right, cheese doesn’t always have to be on top of the chicken, it can be inside it as well. And we can’t think of many better ways to enjoy this dish of Mediterranean style goodness.

Salsa Chicken: Those who like their chicken with a kick will find this variation delectable. The chicken is seasoned with taco seasoning and then covered in salsa and, of course, cheese (in this case cheddar but you can vary according to your preferences). This type of chicken makes the perfect complement for Spanish rice.

Savory Rollups: We’ve had chicken with cheese on it, chicken with cheese in it and now we have chicken with cheese rolled up inside it. These breaded chicken breasts are rolled up with Jarlsberg cheese, smothered in gravy and baked to perfection. They make a filling dish that can be served with potatoes, veggies or a salad.

Chicken Cordon Bleu: Cordon Bleu is a French term that translates to the blue ribbon and I can’t think of any better way to describe this meal which consists of chicken that is breaded, sautéed and stuffed with ham and Swiss cheese. The recipe we found adds paprika and a creamy white wine sauce.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff: A slow cooker is a great way to make any meal. Just toss the ingredients in at the beginning of the day and look forward to coming home to a hot, fresh meal. When cooking meat, a slow cooker is perfect because it allows it to marinate to become flavorful and tender.

We love this stroganoff dish because it can be made in two easy steps. Put chicken, margarine and an Italian style salad dressing mix into the cooker and cook for 5 to 6 hours. Add cream cheese and cream of chicken soup and heat for another half hour.

Then serve to your family for a meal they are sure to love.

Chicken Cheese Recipe

It’s true that there are many chicken and cheese recipes out there, but we think this is one of the tastiest of the bunch, not to mention, it’s relatively easy to make.

All home cooks have to do is take the chicken, put it in a baking dish and top it with American or cheddar cheese. Then cover it in a chicken soup and water mixture, spread Stove Top Stuffing on the top and bake for 45 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink.

The meal you get is one that is moist, hearty tasty and delicious. The flavorings are the perfect complement and they will work to please even your fussiest eaters.

The dish is relatively versatile, and it can be served with your choice of sides including rice, veggies, potatoes or a nice salad.

It is also healthy. It starts with chicken, a great, lean protein that can boost immunity and relieve stress.

Cheese is also a good source of protein. It is also rich in vitamin A, B-12, zinc, phosphorus, and riboflavin.

Chicken soup has many of the beneficial properties of chicken so adding it to the recipe is a health bonus as well as a great way to lock moisture into the meat. So, before your family says, chicken again? let them know that tonight it’s going to be cheesy chicken. I guarantee that it will be enough to bring a smile to their faces. Not many people can resist cheese as a fun and tasty topping that can add to the deliciousness of any meal.
