Other “I” Ideas That Your Kids Will Love

In search of more ideas? We've got you covered! Let's check out some other “I” foods that your kids will surely love.

  • Instant noodles. Sometimes, you just don't feel like cooking. If that's you this week, then prepare some instant noodles for your kids. Ramen is a good option; pick whatever flavor your kids will enjoy. Mix in some peanut butter for added flavor.
  • Ice cream cake. Celebrating a special occasion? In need of a good dessert for your family cookout? Ice cream cake is the way to go! There are a lot of store-bought options out there, but we encourage you to get one from a local ice cream stand. They're going to be fresher and, in many cases, tastier than the ones sold at grocery stores.
  • Ice cream soda. Throw a couple scoops of ice cream into your kids' favorite sodas, and serve it to them as a dessert! Vanilla ice cream works best, but let your kids choose the flavor they'd like to try. If you can't agree on a soda to use, root beer works best.
  • Indian curry. Curry is becoming increasingly popular, and for good reason. It's flavorful and has just the right amount of spice. Serve with naan bread or rice.
  • Instant oatmeal. If you're low on time or energy, instant oatmeal is a great breakfast option for your kids. Mix in some honey or brown sugar for added flavor, and top with fruit. Your kids will get a nutritious and delicious breakfast out of this.
  • Irish soda bread. This is a fun one for you and your kids to make together! Soda bread uses sodium bicarbonate instead of yeast. Your kids will have fun pretending that they used actual soda to make this bread when talking to their peers at school.
  • Italian meatballs. Meatballs aren't just for serving with pasta. They can be a standalone dish, too! Throw them into a sandwich, or serve them on their own with a hearty helping of sauce.
